Jordan Kern grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota where she attended the Perpich Center for the Arts Education.  Upon receiving her high school diploma from the Perpich Center, Kern moved to Kansas City, Missouri in the fall of 2009 to attend the Kansas City Art Institute.  Upon graduation in the spring of 2013, Kern will have received a BFA in ceramics.  Kern has been honored to receive the Trustee’s Scholarship to attend the Kansas City Art Institute, as well as the Ken Ferguson Scholarship Award.  Kern creates functional vessels that play with inspiration found in nature.  Kern has exhibited multiple times at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Perpich Center for Arts Education
